Galion City Schools Board of Education
Monthly meetings will take place in the Media Center of the Galion Middle School at 6:30pm., unless otherwise noted.
The Records Retention Schedule is developed by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for general business functions of a government agency. While State Agencies may create their own records retention schedules, they can also adopt any of these general schedules as a retention schedule for their agency records management program. The Galion City School District has a signed schedule with Ohio History Connection State Archives of Ohio Local Government Records Program.

Dennis Long-OSBA Service Award Recipient
The Service Award is a distinct award and is part of the Ohio School Board Association's STAR Awards Program—Service, Training, Aptitude, and Recognition. Congratulations!
Mr. Long's efforts reflect a true commitment toward public education and the importance you attach to your role as a school board member. He has been on the Galion City School Board of Education since 2008, and he serves as the Galion High School Key Club Advisor.
The OSBA Service Award is presented to a very select group. Of the more than 3,400 public school board members in Ohio, only 71 will receive the honor in 2024.
