Each month, our students at Galion Intermediate participate in Leader in Me Clubs during the Leadership Block. Student-selected at the beginning of the year, each club helps foster leadership skills, promote teamwork, encourage personal growth, and empower students to become effective leaders within their school and community. Leader in Me lessons are also taught in during Leadership Block to give students the opportunity to lead, teach and learn from other students in all facets of their learning. We all have the ability to lead, serve, influence and make a difference!

Family Tech Tip: Jesse Weinberger, Internet Safety Speaker, suggests a device-free hour before bedtime. Research shows this improves sleep by regulating circadian rhythms. Make it a family habit: Set a specific evening time for all family members, adults included, to switch off phones and charge them.
The data indicates that insufficient or poor-quality sleep in adolescents is linked to risky behavior, reduced self-control, and school attendance issues. It also impairs learning, focus, and emotional processing. Prioritize quality sleep for a healthier, more successful life.

Galion High School Teen Institute and Student Council members rallied for substance-free living at the "Crawford Drug-Free Youth Rally" in September. This student-led event, highlighted in our latest newsletter, featured a DJ, games, food and special guests, including Mayor Jeff Reser. The rally was designed to highlight these substance-free students and to promote a positive message to the community about the next generation of leaders. Way to go, Tigers!
